  1. I have heard this site about three times and I got more from it this lime than ever before. I think I will listen to it again. I am excited about what I will learn next time. The fear of the unknown is going away.

  2. I love the way you teach and motivate. I’m looking forward to totally CRUSHING this!! Thank You Anik… You can’t imagine the difference you’re making in my life.

  3. As long as you follow Zane’s 3 steps( Take A Lot of notes, Keep an open-mind, & take action) you will be fine. If you have trouble try re-watching a video in the order you are having problems with, then refer to the forum for additional guidance. Complete only the material they talk about at that time and move on. This is how I got unstuck.

  4. Hello Zane. I am just starting to watch the presentations. Thank you for providing all these information in a way that a newbie like me will understand. It’s good to know the different business strategies we, as new business owners in the online marketing, need to incorporate and implement. Could you help me with two things on the presentation? What are the words on mark 6:12 and mark 19:45? Just need those two to complete my notes. Thank you so much!

  5. Hi Zane, I found the presentation very helpful and a great start. I now have some tips to work on like to develop a logo for my site and to develop the legal documents. I have realised that I need to make my site look more professional. Fantastic – I look forward to getting stuck in and taking action!
    Thanks,
    Tom

  6. nice intro
I find it easier to download the slides before the video and write my session notes directly on the slides — it sure would help to eliminate the build slides so we don’t waste paper and ink
    thx
    Mike

  7. Hi Zane and Profit Academy,
The study material has been very well tailored to fit any new person who is not exposed to digital information marketing. It is also very informative for people who already have some level of experience in setting up online business. They can get unstuck if they are so in any area of their business and take positive action to see success. I am glad to be a student and learn all the valuable information and receive practical guidance to be a successful online entrepreneur!!!
My best wishes to the coaches and students!

  8. Zane, my congratulations with your way of teaching; very sympa and clear. I have lots of respect for what you have reached within the I.M. business as well as your english as 2sd language. Great job. I hope to be as good as you are, being Dutch and living in France, so working with 3 languages.

  9. Good information in few words but exposing clearly what makes the business succeed. This is a great presentation and I believe I am in the right hands year after many years of confusion in my attempt to start an online business.

    Many Thanks

  10. This presentation stops exactly at 11:09 and does not go further. This is a technical glitch, which I request you to take care of. Also please quality check the videos before uploading them.

  11. Thank you! This video was very nicely presented, and very reassuring — (the second time through. Hee-hee!) I watched it Monday, but the various terms were so new and bewildering to me that I just got a bit … overwhelmed. And “Overwhelm” is something that both you and other happy, successful entrepeneurs all say, with positive assurance, is totally unnecessary! After seeing the Coaching Webinar earlier, things are starting to make sense and fall into place. (I started watching all the modules over, beginning with Anik’s Intro.) Now I’m starting to come into a deeper feeling of, not only, “I want this!” but also, “I got this!” I better get busy, though. Modules 2 and 3 are coming out tomorrow. (No overwhelm, though. Another Entrepeneur trainer I’ve recently — just this week also — started learning from (name available on request, if appropriate) agrees: “No overwhelm. No *need* for overwhelm. One bite at a time.”

  12. I’m new to this stuff I have been trying ti talk to Forum for starting an email list I don’t know

  13. Hello Zane
I am a Registered Nurse of 22 years moving from the bedside to the Internet-Side. From 12 hour shifts in the hospital to all shifts working for me. I have exchanged CPR and ACLS for Digital Marketing. This is awesome because I hope to change lives: mine, then others… What a great start you have given me! Thanks from Eve2015pcf

  14. Hi,I like a lot your presentation .Very clear and informative.Of course I will go over and over again.
I really do not know anything about marketing.I am happy you are my teacher.

  15. I had listened last week but today after the coaching call decided to ‘DO’ … I now have a Domain, Blog, FaceBook Account, Twitter account and YouTube all related to my new efforts re: Boomer Boomerang dot com … also logo design request with two Fiverr designers. Still want to narrow the niche to within the Boomer Generation, open to suggestions! Thanks for GREAT Training! Charles

    1. Thank you Zane. Very good intro. Some of us are very new to this and very nervous. I believe Anik stated that that we don’t have to have a domain. Is that for phase one if we are interested to stay there for a while and do not have a product? I do not have a product of my own and I really don’t want to put my face out there- I am a psychotherapist and have to be very careful creating a professional conflict- or may be I can do something with mental/health issues… Anyway I need much guidance and have some difficulty navigating through and never had exposure to forum before. I am open to any useful feedback and suggestions.
I am impressed with your English language command and your grasp of this business. Thank you again.

  16. Hi, I am Chef Love.
That was an awesome video. I learned a lot from the information, thank you for presenting it very clearly and also giving ideas to find more information if needed. Have a fantastic day.

Have a fantastic food day 🙂

  17. Well done and informative, but very intimidating. Above and beyond anything that Anik’s 3 hour infomercial suggested was required for success in Phase 1.

  18. Thank You, Zane! Outstanding presentation: Accurate, Clear, Complete and Concise. I have assimilated the “what is it” and am ready to move joyfully forward. :-))

  19. Thanks Zane for breaking down each and every aspect of digital marketing. After watching this video everyone should be able to move to the next step seamlessly, as all your explanations and terminology were covered in great detail.

You’re also a natural talented teacher!

  20. Thanks Zane for your presentation and the explanation of the differences between Digital Information Marketing and Traditional Marketing. It clearly explains the pros of a Digital Business. My take-aways are as follow:

    – Develop a Brand that it’s easy to remember, catchy and unique
    – Become an Authority on that subject you are passionate about
    – Create Engagement with your audience. Make them feel they are a part of a community (just like this comment boxes and the whole experience of PA. Sneaky Niki Niki! haha)

Looking forward to the following lessons!

  21. Way to go, Zane. If you are an example of what someone can and has done with Anik’s system, then I am deeply encouraged and inspired. Great presentation!!!

  22. Zane, THANK YOU! I feel like I’m in great hands here! Not scary at all so far!! With such detailed concise presentation, I know we all can do this–even me! YES! Here we go~~~

  23. Hello Zane,
I am grateful to be here and to be able to take advantage of this opportunity.
Throughout I enjoyed your tone, your delivery, and your organization.
Thank you for all the information and the actionable steps.

  24. Hi Zane,
thanks a lot for bringing all these informations so clear to me,so I have been able to understand them all.Thank you also for talking slowly, as my english isn’t perfect…..but I could manage to understand it!

  25. Zane, thank you for the presentation, especially for the information about Strategies.

  26. Thank you Zane for this overview of Digital Marketing which I found informative and helpful to our start to online success.

  27. Very Useful Knowledge. I was doing few of this things already…but now its more holistic and structured knowledge…I am fired up to change my life now…excited for next module

  28. Great video and very clear and precise on this subject. Only question is, am i now to do homework on this? Where is the part of helping me decide my niche before i begin branding etc? Is this purely an overview on digital marketing? would be helpful to have at the end of each video a ‘now you must do’ exercise. For example, Go and research more, look at these areas, come up with examples currently used etc

    1. Hi Cassie. You’re watching “introductory” videos. Yes, it’s “purely an overview” 🙂 There are no action steps at this point, just info that’s designed to give you a well-rounded understanding of the business that you’re about to undertake.

When Zane says “take action”, he’s encouraging you to take action when progressing through the training. If you continue watching and progressing through the member videos in sequence, you’ll see “finding niches” and more in the core training modules. Many of them have checklists that you can download.

That said… you’re expected to take notes as you watch, so that afterwards you know what to do (even if a checklist is not provided). Just do what you are shown in the video. Your immediate focus is to continue progressing through each video in order and only focus on the current info covered (to avoid anxiety and info-overload). Don’t rush things and wonder why you haven’t seen X info yet. It’s coming. Have patience.

If you haven’t done so yet, it’s IMPORTANT that you watch this video http://forum.profitacademy.com/forum/need-help/where-do-i-start-first/3677-read-me-first?_=1425435279755.

Final note: this comment section is only for comments. If you have questions after watching any of the video modules, please don’t post them here. Post them in the forum under the Profit Academy Training Section (related to the module viewed) so all can benefit from the question and answer. Additionally, your fellow members will be happy to help you along with the coaches 🙂

      Thank you and Welcome aboard!

  29. I hope there is going to be some more details on how to take action with all of the information this module presented. Some serious hand holding is required here being a newbie with all this digital age stuff. Looking forward to diving in……….

  30. Thank you Zane! Feeling a little nervous about all there is to consider, not the least of which is wondering how to create engagement, but also game to take action.

  31. Business or website? Is every web site a business or are we looking at a core business that builds web sites? I know it is the latter but that just begs a whole bunch more questions.

    Brain hurts already.

  32. Thank you, Zane, for presenting this overview of Digital Marketing. I am pleased that Anik has provided an entire team of support. After all, there is only one of him and he only has 24 hours each day. Profit Academy will be well-supported with this team approach. My first impression upon completing this video was, “Wait, go back to the step where you help me be sure I have identified a profitable niche.” I do not feel ready to take action on branding, domain name, logo, business email, blog, Terms of Service, privacy policy, and social media until I know I have identified my profitable niche. However, after reading through these comments, I am now feeling like the “take action” was a guiding principle for Profit Academy. I look forward to continuing the journey of learning and success! Thank you again!

  33. Briefly freaked out at the thought of creating all those pages, then remembered that this will come later. Glad to know the ways to best market something online. After considering those online businesses I engage with as a customer, I can see that all of these aspects are in play!

  34. Thanks very much Zane, I enjoyed this so much. my eyes are getting opened every time,I wish PA had started 15 years ago,but as the saying goes, its never too late

  35. Great Welcome mat for all the newbies entering this new domain. Great information is provided, preparing me to take this first step..down the yellow brick road, toward success!! I’m pumped. Let’s roll!!

  36. As Andy Shaw has said, “Knowing something is different than KNOWING something” meaning–is it a way of life? I “knew” most of what was in this first program, but was guilty of not really living it out daily. This kind of individual attention and community is exactly what makes the difference for most people. Let’s DO THIS!

  37. That was a great starting point, very concise, and highly educative information. Given me the opportunity to think seriously on my digital business strategy. Thanks Anik and the presenter. God bless.

  38. Thank you for a well presented introduction session Zane. Sending gratitude your way 🙂

  39. Clearly explained and patiently taught – easy to follow and good technique in putting together and presenting this lesson. Excellent job mentioning the legal documents and appreciate you giving a sample site.

  40. Glad you kicked this off, Zane! Is there a simple click and paste for terms of service and privacy policy that can be included in the automated tools available to students setting up their first simple opt-in page?

  41. wau this is great I would love to share my story, and I like the way you explain to me the digital marketing, Thank you

  42. This is really clear content and I am very hopeful of finally
having the chance to learn the Digital Marketing Business.
    Thank you Anik!

  43. I love this video, even though I know a good bit about the sites mentioned I realized I didn’t have engaging material when it comes to my sites from before. Thanks again for the little tid bit of advice. Wonderful material

  44. Hi !
Crystal clear introduction to digital marketing.
New field for me, but excited with the success, in all aspects, which this will bring to all of us.

Thank you Zane, Anik and everyone in the team who worked and put up this presentation.
I am grateful for the work you have put in this program.

  45. Great introduction! Good way to start off about the difference between digital and traditional marketing. I am eager to learn more about branding business. Thanks!!

  46. I just say WOW amazing and AWESOME. I was waiting for this for long time.
I had a Formula for long time called Live Digital Lifestyle By Design.
Now I’m about to complete a Package thanks to Anik’s Brilliant Thought of this.
This is perfect for me… Thanks Anik

  47. Thank you very much Zane for the excellent introduction to digital marketing.
Never thought digital technology would go forward to such an extent.
I had written a poem on electronics which starts with –
“Who has seen an electron ? Neither I nor you !
But when any CIRCUIT makes it DANCE, we find our dreams come true …………”

We have just started and we have miles to go !
    Thanks again.

  48. I like the way this video was delivered, well laid out information, easy to understand and just awesome! I an ready to move on with action…Thanks

  49. Thank you Zane for the starting place! I have a few different ideas of what my passion includes but not sure if I need to have the specific niche figured out before I work on my brand? Or should it be general so I can include various products? Many thanks!

  50. Thanks Zane it was good to hear your voice after watching Phase 1 launch with Anik. Found your story very inspiring. The introduction to these basics was informative.
Looking to get started on the action items, such as selecting a Brand, domain, email and Social Media outreach.
The privacy policy was also, good to know.
    Much Appreciated

  51. Excellent and concise introduction to digital marketing. I especially found the key idea of ‘Branding’ my business from the start invaluable. Thank you Anik and Zane!

  52. I especially liked the information on branding and establishing yourself as an authority using Facebook, blogging, twitter etc. Excited to implement these strategies.

  53. Very informative and well presented. I watched your interview with Anik and all I can say WOW!!!. I am looking forward for the success of my online business. With the help of Anik and you I believe I am on the right track. Thanks Again Zane.

  54. So I have a lot of unanswered questions from this first video. Hopefully someone can help me out. When choosing an email do I want to use my name to keep it a little more personal with the subscribers or should I use the business name? Where do I find free help with the Terms of Services? What it most important for me to include in the Terms of Services? Is there anywhere to get a domain name for free?

    1. Re: When choosing an email do I want to use my name to keep it a little more personal with the subscribers or should I use the business name?

      Your personal name is fine.

Re: Where do I find free help with the Terms of Services? What it most important for me to include in the Terms of Services?

Google is your friend for most anything! Search with this phrase: terms of service template (and you’ll find plenty of free sources), such as this one).

Re: Is there anywhere to get a domain name for free?

No. A domain only cost $10 a year.

      1. Wow … I’m glad I’m reading the comments! LOTS of good info and encouragement here … and some excellent links to excellent resources … like the one above! I encourage all to read the comments! (Oh, yeah … if you see this one, you’re already doing that! LOL)

  55. Thank you Zane! Pleasant voice to listen to, very clear and understandable. Great information about the Digital Information Strategies.

  56. This was GREAT and it was easy for me to understand how this business module can be lucrative. Until now I gave up on trying to understand selling on line, but now I know I can do this!!!

  57. Great lesson to understand my new business and start branding from the beginning, thanks!

  58. Concise, clear, logical presentation. Especially the four qualities of a good digital marketing plan, and the simple presentation of “branding”. Thank you.

  59. Thank you for explaining the basics. It’s good to see how you get right to the main points by displaying all of the digital marketing platforms.

  60. To have a online business is the ultimate! No infrastructure needed, no employees (depends on how big you want to go), no inventory. The writing part might be a challenge, writing articles and keeping up with fresh inforamtion.

  61. The basics… ah, wow.

Personally I’ve heard this a thousand times about e-mail marketing and creating a business.

But it surprises me that so many do not take this basic information serious.

It’s true when you build your foundation strong you can build much higher!

As a ex-GIN member (Global Information Network), I grasped fairly firmly how very important it is
to continue to return to the basics.

  62. I think this was a great session. it open my mind to many things that I did not know about setting up a digital business that I thought it only applied to a traditional business. Great session!!!

  63. I feel so great after having finished this step on my journey to success. This is the very first time that I have been able to get this far without feeling that I’d made a big mistake of investing funds that weren’t going to serve me well. Not this time! I feel good about this engagement. I plan to go the distance that it takes to reach my desired goal. FREEDOM!!! Thank you Anik.

  64. Learned the difference between Digital Marketing & Traditional Marketing. I had never known this before, so this was very helpful to me. Make sure to pick a good brand for your website and also advertise on different platforms like a Blog, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and even Utube. I am feeling good about myself today because it’s my 1st day of training with”Profit Academy System”.

  65. Hi…The content and presentation was very good. But I am not sure what action you wanted one to take here. If you mean things like having a brand name and creating engagement with good material is the action you are suggesting, how does one take that even before knowing what niche one is targetting.

  66. I’m not sure what the action items are. Can you clarify? Do all the items under Brand, start a blog, make a Facebook page, etc.?

    1. Hi Edward. Zane is simply encouraging you to take action as you build out your own “digital marketing” business.

    2. As far as creating a Facebook page and Blog, etc… these are not items that you are expected to do immediately, but when you’re in a position; are ready. You want to build the core and foundation of your digital marketing business first.

  67. It was a very pleasant surprise to hear Zane’s voice on this teaching module. I watched Anik’s special webcast last night and heard Zane sharing his story … and today I take my first module and hear his voice! I think he did an excellent job of delivering this material and I’m so impressed that you are using students to teach! I’m excited about what I’m learning and look forward to implementing this process.

  68. Very thorough, and very nicely presented! Thank You.

I think I would like help determining my Brand before carrying out some of these specifics as I’m not sure which of my many passions to pursue, i.e., which offers the most viable market!

  69. Thanks, Zane. I especially liked the part about becoming an authority for my niche…

    It has got me thinking.

  70. This was very informative. I am not a techy computer person and know very little about how all the online “behind the scenes” marketing works but this broke it down in very simplistic terms. I had never thought about creating privacy terms and terms of service. I will research those today. Thank you.

  71. Zane, You are saying to take action.
But what on exactly at this point? I only have started learning?
Should I go ahead and choose my site name, start branding already?
I am not sure in what direction I should go and what actions I should be taking…

  72. Hi Zane,
Great job on the overview. Really happy that I have a lot of the components needed to start this online business. I was on the verge of calling it quits with my business and now I want to infuse it with this model and launch it on a whole new platform. I love your enthusiasm, clarity and your clear explanation. Looking forward to the next step. Shirley

  73. I like what I see here. Very concise and to the point. Not seen or heard on any other internet marketing training material.

  74. I can see from this first module that the information given in this course will be priceless. I’ve been dabbling in IM for several years now and thought I knew some things, but even in this beginners module I learned a couple of things that didn’t occur to me before. This is going to be good.

  75. Hi Zean,

Thanks for the hand holding and running us through the presentation. That was great.

Wishing you a great and successful career ahead.

    Thanks and Regards
    Pooja Shennde

  76. FYI, I just signed up for clickonomy according to step 5 and nearly crapped when my card was charged $500. I thought the coupon was going to cover that amount. Instead, my card was charged $500 and the coupon added an additional $100. I almost didn’t have enough money in my account to cover it.

  77. Developing the business as a brand I found profound.
When creating a domain name I have been told that using ‘.com ‘ domain name is very important… If so, then creating a catchy easy to remember domain name may be a bit of a challenge, because of all the options that are already in use.
How important is ‘.com’ to use in your domain name, and what others (if any) work well?

    1. Always attempt to find a .com (because most people default to that when typing any website in their browser). You can use the “domain suggestion” tool in NameCheap or other registrar to help you come up with ideas. You can also search for multiple potential domain names at once using the “bulk search” function to speed up the process. You may have to spend some time on this step to get it just right or find something unique.

    1. Zane gave some great content while making it simple and non intimidating. If this whole academy follows this format…..I will so be successful.
