  1. Thanks Tom, I watched this again right before launching my first opt-in page. It took me a little longer because of writing my own freebie but I like this so much better. I think I will be in phase 1 1/2!! It is great to go through your teaching again to get any details I might have missed and understanding it all a lot better now after all the coaching. Thank you again so much!

  2. Holy cow, There is just so much that can be processed from this video. I love all the ideas and ways to tap into your email list. Especially when trying to bond with them. It really seems like it would help to keep them interactive.

  3. Mr. Tom…This was a great experience ! Your examples are a guide to success. I sincerely hope that down the line there will be a tutorial on how to create the “links” from the blog to the landing page, as you mentioned. Thanks again for the calm and precise delivery of this segment. Kudos to you !

  4. Love the way you teach Tom, you really get into the nitty-gritty of strategy ” how to get your Clients listening to you!” I say clients instead of subscribers in your case because that’s what they appear to have become!

  5. Thanks, Tom, for giving me a lot of strategies for building my email list. I will take all this information into consideration when I go to apply these strategies in my business. Again, you are a great teacher and I listen with high regard. I’m pumped about all this information that you’ve provided. Let’s keep Rolling forward and keep up the great work!

  6. Thanks for a great video — took lots of notes. however it freezes at 15.58 minutes — fiddle with it and it jumps to continue, Kind regards, Lynette Usher Sydney Australia

  7. Really insightful, Tom. I had been worrying about coming up with new content to write about every day. And you say STRATEGISE a month ahead, week by week. Duh! Why didn’t I think of that? It seems you’ve got an answer for every obstacle. You are a calm voice of reason. Thanks!

  8. Dear team at Profit Academy

Allow me to “launch” the world famous presentation “My name is Bond” and instead of James Bond
formulte it as “Bond” over shared interest’s”

Regarding “Find Your Voice” I have found “His Maters Voice” namely Tom’s voice!
Thanks again Tom for giving us important and useful knowledge and guidance.

  9. Tom, YES, very helpful as always. Getting the big picture through Module 1 has been very helpful. I still haven’t figured out a way to narrow my niche (Boomer Generation with http://www.BoomerBoomerang.com … think I’ve got the big picture (after all, I’m a concept guy) but need to discover “where” within the big picture. I’m so open to anyone’s suggestions! Thanks Again! Charles

  10. Thank you Tom for all the effort in providing us with great information and motivation. All the videos have been full of good content; for me it takes time to digest all of this new information. The examples you used concerning golf were very appropriate. Thanks

  11. Thanks Tom…optimizing everything is key as you stated…Traffic Sources-Squeezepage-TYP-TYP Offer-AR Series-AR Offers. Also connect to their frustrations is huge for connecting with your subscribers. Awesome content.

  12. Thanks Tom. In this video I have I have learned that I have to brand myself by bringing “my voice” into the emails I craft.
I have also learned that I should be balancing my emails with a balanced mix of content, soft pitched content and promotions using the OVO method, as well as showing us the correct way in building a relationship with our list.

An eye-opener to me was when you mentioned the ad scaling model we should be using, that is start small, test the results, tweak if necessary or scale up to see if how much the TYP offer converts.

I’ll certainly need t go over this video again as I’ve probably missed something. It was jam-packed with golden nuggets.

  13. what happen is my english is not so good to write e mail properly
i mean not the ortograph but the stucture of english is not my first language
    got some ideas?

    by the way good video

    thanks

    1. Sylvie,
When you are having trouble with English, it may be a good idea to go through what you have to say with someone who knows the language. A good editor will grasp what you have to say and then take each sentence and turn it into proper English. I once did this for a friend who was taking a class. She was from Poland. I did not change WHAT she had to say, I just changed HOW she had to say it. After I corrected her English, she got an “A” on her paper!
If you cannot find anyone to help you, I think I could. Let me know if this is OK. If it is I will give you my e-mail and we can start from there.

      1. Hi Luisa.. I have that problem too.. My English redaction is not good and I am scared of writing.
My email is caballerolaura88@gmail.com you can send me an e-mail there. I will apreciate very much if you can help me..
        Thanks

      2. Louisa, you’re a doll for offering help to Sylvie! Let me know if I can help as well!

    2. Hi Sylvie,
Go to Fiverr.com where you can get English transcribed for you for 5 or 10 bucks via overseas personnel looking for work. Look for ratings and testimonials for a good one!

  14. Thanks for the video Tom – I appreciate it! Trying to decide if I go for a more general niche or something highly specific. I’m worried about not having enough content for daily emails if I don’t something laser targeted. Any advice on this?

    1. Hi Michael. You’ll learn more about email marketing (balancing content and promotions, etc) in future modules. For all module-related questions, please post in the Profit Academy Training section of the forum.

  15. Since module 2 is not up yet, I went through the modules again. I then went through the bonuses and the “done for you bonus” tabs. (I hadn’t noticed them before) Two of the DONE FOR YOUs are niches I am already working in on my blog so I just will work with them here to get started. Only, I need to talk with someone to make sure I know what I am doing. See you in Support!!

  16. just finished watchimg the frist module! thanks so much the the videos, great effort and explainations.
but i am not confident about my niche and how to develop it!
can you give me some advices?

  17. Hi Tom,

Thank you for this lesson, I will take it to heart but I do have a problem with all the emails people are sending. It always makes me unsubscribe. One a week is fine with me but an email every day is giving me a feeling of overwhelm. I don’t think I want to do this to my list.
Am I the only one thinking this way???

I can’t wait for the email writing module. You guys are doing a great and inspiring job.

    1. Hi Beatrijs
I have a similar concern at firing an email every day, whether it is content only or promotional. In my opinion it makes me feel spammy. But the proof of the pudding is, I guess the open rates and unsubscribe numbers. It will be interesting to see what others have to say.

    2. I agree! An “email-a-day” is too many….and I also agree that one email-a-week is quite sufficient…perhaps on the same day each week…

      1. Cathy, remember we’ve paid big bucks to follow success, and maybe need to be careful about re-inventing the success wheel Anik has created and Tom has explained so thoroughly. I feel the same way about almost daily emailing, but I think it will be easier once we feel authoritative and valuable enough to want to share.

    3. Beatrijs,

You are not the only one thinking this way. I too am not happy with everyday emails and I usually unsubscribe after a week. I feel that maybe two a week would be enough.

    1. You can either click on the module title to open up the module page and see the date, or if you don’t see a date, check the events calendar.

  18. Tom,

What a great Sub module that you just presented. I’m a blogger myself and an author, and I’m very excited to know that I will be able to use my communication skills to help build my business!

I love the, way that you explained things and the golf example made a lot of sense to me, even though I don’t play golf. I could imagine my email going along the lines of; Hi all, I was playing golf on the weekend and a friend of mine who I haven’t played with for a while was absolutely smoking them off the tee. I had never thought that he was ‘long’ off the tee before, so I asked him about his driver. He said that it was only about 6 weeks old and he was loving it. I asked him if I could have a try and my next two tee shots that I hit with his driver gave me an extra 15 to 20 metres, and they were very straight as well. I then asked him if he was still playing of 12 like me? And he stunned me by telling me that he had entered the sacred group of single digit handicappers, and was now off 9. I couldn’t believe it. I always thought that I had him covered. Later, when we were having a beer at the 19th and we were comparing scorecards, it was obvious that the confidence that the driver has given him off the tee had also helped his all round game. So I asked him more about the driver and on Monday I went out and bought myself one. That night, I went to the driving range and from the feel of it, I will be playing off of single digits in the near future!! I will keep you posted about my progress. By the way, if you would like to purchase the driver you can, just by clicking the following link. Put Link here. Keep me updated on how your game improves!

    Now that could sell something!!

    Paul.

  19. For the attention of the moderators.
I also noticed today my progress indicator come to 4% down from the 10% I was “assessed” two days ago. I was even confused as to my reaching 10% without my doing anything tangible beside listening to the videos. This assessment should be replace for a more accurate one that is performance and evidence based. Going with the present indicators, a lot of people with be dismayed making them to lose steam. And worse still, it may even add up to other numerous stressors students are faced to deal with.

  20. Hi Tom, well done.
As usual, the tips you gave are very very important for us to implement. For us to succeed as email marketers, we need to connect with our leads and form a bond of friendship that will turn them into customers and hopefully loyal customers. So content delivery of the emails is just inevitable. And of course, the emails we write must be based on the pains and the benefits of the solutions to those pains. You just said every thing. I will like to hold your hands and learn the rope.

  21. Good Stuff Tom…Thank you. Some people commented about their percentage completion falling (via the indicator on the left). Probably admin added more content in the modules that we need to cover…that’s all…just speculating though. Don’t let it demotivate though. Stay excited! We’re going to be just fine. Cheers guys 🙂

  22. In Terms of progress… I don´t understand that even though I have been through all the material already days ago, got 27% progress shown, and now I am suddenly down to 6%. Even though there is no way for me to continue, as the other modules are not opened up yet. This seems a bit weird to me. Of course it won´t motivate me, as come on, I know where I am at in this process, but still, I would suggest to change this barometer feature to not go down again after people reached a certain percentage, as some people might feel discouraged or frustrated by it.

    1. I know what you mean, I prefer reading and that apparently doesn’t give you any credit for advancing because I’m @ 3% after having gone through both videos and pdf’s which as I said I prefer.

  23. Very helpful, Tom! I’ve built lists before, and have done it by trial and error, or by following advice that didn’t bring MY voice into the emails (and thus had inconsistent results); this was a wonderful overview on really how to bond with your audience, and done so in a really understandable format, and gave me lots of tips that I am excited to use. Thanks again!

  24. All I can say about the videos I watched is thank you, thank you, thank you! I’m a little scared but excited at the same time. It sounds so easy but I know there is so much to do, if you are a beginner as I am. But with the right mindset we can all start doing our passionate business and making money.

  25. It is so helpful for you to present what we need to remember to keep in mind! Until I have done this quitea lot, I won’t automatically remember to use your advice for emails.

  26. Very helpful class! Thanks a lot Tom!
One quick question – how many auto response email we should setup first before we can launch our opt-in page? Thanks

  27. I definitely have the concept down. Thank you for the help. I love the OVO method and the detail on how to build a relationship with my list. Now to figure out how to put it all together.

  28. Thanks Tom, good solid common sense = good marketing. People have always bought from people they like. I may have to quit watching these video and downloading the cheat sheets. My progress was 20% 2 days ago and now it is down to 15%. If I keep working at this rate I will soon be down to 0%. LOL

  29. Thank you for the information Tom. Your videos are well done and explain the process in simple easy steps. Advising us up front with strategies not to use is very valuable in avoiding beginner mistakes.

    1. Ive found it helpful to listen to the modules spread over a few days… It kind of helps the digestion process ;). Been thinking about a niche as well where I can help people the best and things are becoming clearer and clearer. Its an amazing process and Im excited to work with people who excel in areas I don’t!!!
      Thank you Tom and Anik!

    2. Thank you Tom! You have been clear in you presentations. It is helpful to hear your steady reassuring voice. Me? I’m like AARRGG! There is a lot to do before I actually launch which I thought I could put it all together in a couple of days. What was I thinking? I also thought I wouldn’t have to face many people doing this bizz. Now I heard what works is to interact with folks!!…. I tell you life has you stretching everyday…lol I am looking forward to what’s next and will review all the videos again and let it sink in. I will stay determined and just take it bit by bit, Thanks to all for your comments.
