  1. Thank you so much for the simple, clear, informative and valuable squeeze page information. I love and appreciate you all.

  2. Just a heads up. All three buttons above lead to a file with the same name. Make sure to save each one to a different name so you don’t lose the onese you saved before

  3. Wonderful!
    Although this step is taken!
Very useful and helpful information that feels absolutely right!
    Time to move on!
Than you Tom, Anik and thanks the team at Profit Academy

  4. Could not get the pages WebDesign+ui and landing pages on fiverr.com nor could I get into Leadpages to look around. Anyone else had a problem?

    1. Regarding LeadPages.net, it’s not a free service and they don’t have a trial, so you would need to signup in order to “look around” or refer to Tom’s video for how things work and look inside. On Fiverr, you may need to use a different set of keywords in your search. Such as “optin page”, or “squeeze page”, etc.

  5. As always, great stuff Tom. I had some questions, but looking back through the comments here, before I commented myself, answered my questions. I might have a little worry about Sendlane being so new to the market, what the chances are of a bug still being in the system, and what it would do to my business and how soon it could be fixed by your programmers if it were to happen! I realize it could happen anywhere, anytime, but I’m concerned because Sendlane is so New! I’d like to use it, though. That said, I’m still excited and pumped about this course and this new business. Keep up the good work. Let’s Roll!!

  6. Great info regarding the “Answer 3 questions” and answer their 1 burning question…this will definitely keep me focused on the sales copy side. Thanks Tom

    1. Either gets the job done. Which you choose depends on your needs and budget. SendLane offers PA members 90 days free and has drag-n-drop landing pages (including opt-in pages) and will host those pages for you at no additional cost, or you can download them once created and upload to your own site. GetResponse charges an additional $15/month for “corporate” style landing pages (not exactly what we’re looking for here). For all questions, please post in the forum in the Profit Academy Training section (under the topic related to this training). Thank you.

  7. Great video Tom. It was enjoyable and informative. I learn best by studying examples and being able to identify elements that are good and bad. This makes perfect sense. I know the key things to do on the landing page. It’s locked and loaded in my brain- ready for use in my business. Thank you.

  8. Thank you Tom for the excellent presentation on creating Opt-in page from scratch.
My observation is you missed out information on what the leadpages packages available, suggestion on basic package for a newbie and the pricing ( cost) monthly/annually.
Thank you in response for informed choice.

  9. Thank you….That was very clear Tom.I am one of those people who rarely scrolls down a page unless the advert has a real punchline.
I dont mind giving my first Name but “Full name required” loses my interest. You explain this so well and I thought I knew very little about marketing.!
    Cheers

  10. I’ve seen all those different examples before, and the best part is that we can watch this over and over again. Allowing us to see those great examples again and again. Great video

  11. It’s finally starting to make sense. I find myself analyzing Opt-in pages that I receive. I think that may help me when it comes to writing mine. Very good explanations. Thanks you.

    1. Haha, I’ve been doing the same thing. Like I have people on facebook that keep sending me to those pages and about 90% of them do at least one bad thing wrong. Heck, even one of them was like a triple scrolling page. By the time I got the bottom I was just tired of reading it and left.

  12. Great video tutorial. I found the hook part very useful and I understand that this is the most important aspect that either attracts or repels your prospects.

I also liked the way you were thinking out loud when showing examples of good and bad squeeze pages.

  13. Tom, thanks for explaining this in easy to understand terms. I also appreciate the examples. That’s a big plus.

  14. Tom did such a good job in taking us through the LeadPages site in Part 1 that i am leaning towards getting LeadPages instead of SendLane even if SendLane is free for 3 months. But I have not compared the 2 sites yet.

  15. Good stuff. He really covers all the bases. Look forward to putting this into action.

  16. Why are you promoting mostly LeadPages.net when SendLane is the programme that is being promoted via PA?

    1. Tom started using LeadPages when he started, as SendLane was not in existence back then. That is why he did the LeadpPages video tutorials.

You can choose what you like best, but this tutorial is worth watching for the nuggets he shared in these tutorials.

SendLane is probably the best option for most of us students starting out, as it has all the services we require in one package, ie. autoresponder and software that builds and hosts our pages for free.

  17. The examples of bad pages were really helpful, thanks Tom. I like the fact you were so critical because it helps me to think like a busy consumer.

  18. Great and lots of information that has helped addressed my doubts about internet business…I feel blessed being part of this academy.

  19. I have seen many examples, both good and bad, of the types of pages you provided in the video. This will definitely help me to know how to script those pages better for better results. Thanks you for making it a lot easier.

    1. Hi Linsey. No. There’s no need to take the advanced step of filing for LLC or INC when getting started building this kind of business. That step is typically reserved for companies with large income/assets. In most cases, a simple Sole Proprietor-ship should suffice. Talk with your tax preparer or CPA for more information to see which business category is right for you.

  20. This was brilliant information on good and bad opt-in box. Very clear and delivered well. I’ll be so much more confident when I set up my first one.

  21. Awesome, great teaching. Just soaking in the techniques. I’m a slow learner but I believe I can do this by going over training again and implementing them.

  22. Download checklist will not print. this is the second one I have had trouble with. I expect more then this for the cost of this program

    1. Hi David. Sorry you’re having trouble printing, but printing issues are not related to us. Sounds like an technical issue on your end. I just tested that checklist and printed perfectly for me.

  23. Tom did a wonderful job of presenting this information.

I’ve taken other online marketing courses before but they were
not even close to the quality of content that we have been getting here so far.

Thank you so much for that.

  24. This is really opening my eyes! I do want to keep what I do authentic and ethical so am intending to write an inspiring opt-in without being deceitful like many can be e.g. loose 10kgs in a week-ridiculous!

    1. Very incisive and instructive content! I had to go and made changes to my optin page inline with the revelations here. Very , very good stuff.
      Thanks Tom.

  25. Hey, I cannot download the checklist. The PDF file does has trouble opening. Can you verify it is working correctly?

  26. Wow! The little tricks you wouldn’t think matter make it that much more effective.

  27. Very Well Explained, and also good to know. I have never paid it no mind about landing pages or Opt-in pages . I just learned something new and very helpful.

  28. The video tutorials are very helpful. Right now I’m experiencing information overload but I’m plugging away at it!

  29. Wow!!! That was really educational!!! I’ve visited a ton of opt-in pages and what was discussed makes so much sense as to why I click on an opt in and why I do not. Touche!

  30. I really liked the examples because I have seen landing pages that I haven’t responded to because they involved to much of my time, i.e more reading.

  31. This was extremely helpful!!!
I realize now why I sign up to things… keep this info coming!
Feels like a psychology course too!

    Kevin

  32. Good stuff I have taught direct marketing for over 20 years. Good refresher. Powerful primer for beginners.
