  1. I get The theory behind the transition page it all makes sense. I would like to direct my customers thru this method. The easy part is the theory. How to create a transition page and link it to both be triggered to follow the opt in page and how to get it then to redirect to the thank you page.. That is the 64000 $ question. Yes, we all want to know the nuts and bolts and the mysterious details of how to achieve that. That is the instruction I thought I would receive thru Profit Academy…

    1. Re: “That is the instruction I thought I would receive thru Profit Academy”. You’re only in the introductory videos. Please exercise patience as everything is covered in detail as you progress through the training. The “$64,000 question” is answered in step-by-step detail in Module 3 (setting up your opt-in page case study). As for the TYP page, go to the Bonus section and look for TYP Generator (complete with step by step instructions).

Have you explored the entire Member’s area to see what is there for you before jumping in to all of the training? If not, it would be beneficial to do so 🙂 You’re going to be given options as to resources and tools that you’ll need in your business. The PA Academy does not “give” you basic tools that you will need to operate your business (although as a PA member, you’ll get 90 days free autoresponder service with SendLane). Yes, you will have options. Choose the one that makes the most sense for you individually. If you get lost, that’s what the Forum is for. A huge community of members and coaches are there to help you sort any confusion. Take advantage of it.

      1. Thank you again, Zane, for reminding us to be patient and examine all the tools in our toolbox before we leap into anything. I know this sounds, at first glance, like it contradicts your very first, introductory instructions to (a) take a lot of notes and ESPECIALLY (b) try out what you’ve learned before you move on, but it doesn’t. I’m finding that I can experiment with the techniques that you, Tom, and Dave present, while they’re being presented, by simply putting the video on pause and going to the website in question (Leadpages, Sendlane, GetResponse, etc.) and PRACTICING, step-by-step, what’s being shown. (It reveals some confusions I have, too, which clear themselves up by, not only coming back to these videos, but also by asking the support help at those websites. There is much to be learned there, for free, and they are very sincere, personable, and eager to help. And of course, the Profit Academy Forum/Members’ Area. That’s a learning process, too … but like anything, that’s *good* news, even if it seems (no, make that, “it IS”) overwhelming at first. (Just imagine all this with NO training! YIKES!) I’ve got a long way to go yet, but I’m getting this! And every little thing I understand is a chain-breaker, and makes me breathe so much easier! The learning itself is worth the whole process.

  2. Hi Tom, I just want you to know how much I appreciate your videos. You have helped me greatly with your clear instructions and the philosophy behind why we do things. I am not a strongly tech person and I can follow in a calm way because you inspire that. Thank you! Sohana Bohlool

  3. How do I connect the Thank You Page to my Optin Page? I created the TYP and put it where the video shows to put it in SENDLANE but I don’t know how that TYP can appear right after the person enters their email. Thank you!

  4. Great start to getting the thank you page set up. Would love to see how Sendlane does it. Hope to figure out how to do this very soon, also Tom is such a great teacher for the sites that he uses. Very,Very, Informative 🙂

    1. No. Not the kind described in the video, or that we teach in PA. We have a TYP generator coming in the next few days in the Bonus section of the member’s area. It says “coming soon” right now. Keep an eye out for it 🙂

  5. Thanks Tom, great information.

Can you supply a solution how to show a page for 10s and then switch to a following page, without to wait for a click – as you did by your transition page? That would be very helpful.

    Thanks!

  6. GReat Video! We created a transition page in out funnel but We need some help with setting up the timer in it. Does Anybody Know How It Works? Thanks

  7. Hello Tom I am always irritated by the little signs that pop up when you are about to leave a page (leave this page now etc)Is there a nicer way to say it ?Can we change this text?

  8. This will be my first written TYP which is hereby sent as thanks to Tom for a good lesson.
I also wish and hope that the transition for me to success will be landing on fertile ground.
I will figure out a bait for next time!
    Thank you Tom!

  9. Tom. you are incredible … of course the information is dynamite, but your calm, thorough delivery makes me “BELIEVE” I can do this too!

  10. So with a 500$ investment in clicks with 50% conversion rate I get 5 customers? That’s quite an expensive investment. I wonder how much more in total we have to put in in order to get back our tuition fee for this class.
Please tell me I misunderstood the calculation in the video.
I am a bit shocked right now.

    1. Yes, You misunderstood ! For $500 you get a 50% rate conversion which is 250 opt ins. Now you have 250 emails in your email list. As Tom mentioned it takes about 100 opt ins to get 1 sale. So now You have a chance to sell 2 products. Yes, it is still expensive !!

I will give you one tip. When you want to ask a question, go to forum or click a section below video “ASK A QUESTION”
I found you here commenting on thougts. NO one asks questions here! HOPE I HELPED ! See ya

  11. Now we know how those professionals do the OPT-INS and TYP’s. I’ve always been on the customer side of the table, BUT looking forward to be on the supplier side for a change. THANK YOU for the clear presentations Tom.

  12. Why can’t i get on the (ask a question) page…the page doesn’t down load properly why???

I’ve been trying for the last 2hours with no luck. Any1 else having the some problems??

  13. Tom you managed to dissect the TYP strategy into small actionable plans for us students to fully grasp and implement.

I also liked the idea of the transition page before showing up the TYP. This immediately clicked with me as I was already thinking that the new subscriber might get slightly concerned and overwhelmed as the opted in for something different and now they are presented with something else.

Another takeaway I took is that you will be better off if you manage to convert your subscriber in the TYP by offering something of high value but at a low price, as they are more likely to buy from you and now. This will convert your subscriber to a buyer which in turn is easier to sell other products in the future, as opposed to lead.

  14. Straight forward information that is well presented and easy to understand. Thanks Tom.

  15. Hey Tom! You have awesome training material & you have a wonderful teaching style.

Love that you use VSL, great idea.

Thanks for all your hard work to teach us this system.

  16. This video is very educational , thank you for that .
But I think , it would be better if this video gives step by step instructions how to create transition page using SENDLANE .

I strongly agree that the transition page will be very effective to build trust our subscribers

Waiting for good news from you . But if not, I will continue to send a message asking how to create transition page using SENDLANE

    Thank you:-)

    1. Johan, I think some training videos were created prior to Sendlane. I ended up trying both and found the ease of LeadPages works better for my beginner skills. I appreciate the 90 days free, but sometimes a further investment might be worth it depending on not only your finances but skill level.

  17. Still not sure how to put this all together, will have to watch this one again soon, like tomorrow. Maybe it will be clearer then. After that I need to get started. We can start designing our landing page and gift and thank you page after we finish Module 1 correct?

  18. OK, I will crate an account with leadpages.net and my autorespodner will be sendlane.com, however
    1. I will need detail on how to link each other, because my plan is to create an opt-in page, a transition page and a TYP, my TYP will contain an offer.
    2. Were to I put my freebie, on leadpages.net? Do they will help me as host service to upload my pdf freebie

Please help me with this issues

    1. The comment section is only for comments. Please post questions in the forum so all can benefit from the question and answer. Thank you 🙂

    2. Yes Jose I agree but it should all come together soon. Fingers –and toes crossed !Tom is such a good teacher.

  19. Like Isa Sani below, I too am confused as to which company, Sendland or Leadpages to sign with. From my review, Sendlane appears to be a massive Work In Progress, their templates are no where as good as with Leadpages, and several of the Leadpage Options are not there. So do we sign up to leadpages and then transition to Sendlane, who, as it has been pointed out do not even have a secure payment page yet?? Am I right in assuming that Anik had this all set up, then the Sendlane opportunity came up late and he ‘subbed’ it in before it was ready? And finally, if we cannot even get things up and running properly yet, and on the “sales pitch’ video, Anik interviewed students that had made $3,000 PROFIT and $11,000 PROFIT in just a few months, do tell are they with Sendlane or Leadpages? And how could they have converted their traffic from losses of between $2.00 and $1.43 each to massive profits in such a short time? I have not yet signed up to Sendlane yet because of my concerns.

    1. Paul, I want to help you get on the right path here and focus on the important stuff. Right now, your focus should be on the “business building” training, not getting hung up on which resource you’re going to use or whether or not previous students used them. These sources don’t matter right now. Either resource will still be available when you’re ready to make that decision. If you believe one isn’t a good fit, then don’t use it. You can either learn how create the pages manually as we teach you, outsource, or use another resource. The only thing that matters is that you build the system as we teach you and that you progress through the training, participate in the forums, and attend the coaching webinars by asking questions that directly pertain to where you are in the training. The things you’re questioning will be answered (and make sense) once you progress, and complete, the training available to you. So I encourage you to get laser-focused and trust the system and training as it is designed… and most of all, I encourage you to think positively about your abilities and this community, otherwise, you’re setting yourself up for failure and none of us want that for you! 🙂

    2. Hi Paul,
I’m also student like you, you can sign up with sendlane for three months free and you can try it, it’s very cool system., believe me it’s all up to you, here they are providing a very accurately information and very informative .. To send up with sendlane go to bonuses and scroll down you will find there free subscription autoresponder for three months. 🙂 Cheer

  20. *TRANSITION PAGE*

How do you redirect the Video or countdown timer, after it has been watched (timer has run out) to your affiliate page?

Are there exact transition page templates in lead pages to do this?

    Regards, Matt

    1. Hey Matt. You’ll see a demo of the TYP page (the page that had the countdown and auto-redirect) in Module 3. Additionally, we have a TYP generator that’s coming soon. Keep an eye out on the Bonuses page (accessible from the bonus tab at the bottom of the training menu on left side of member’s area).

  21. Hi Tom.

I recognize you from the Las Vagas event in October last year. It is very good that you and Zane have succeeded. The presentation is superb as usual and the concept of monetizing the Thank You Page is very very novel in terms of trying to make some money in this Internet Business. Actually most people, if not all, that venture into Internet Marketing want to make some money online. So, the earlier we make the bucks the better. So the idea is novel. My confusion however lies in which of the two DIY programs to choice: Sendlane or LeadPages, to build my optin page and the Thank You Page. I know SendLane is an autorespoder service company with freaking DIY web creation capability which is offered free for the first 6 months. LeadPages on the other hand only provides high converting optin pages. Which one should I take? Are the DIY optin pages provided by SendLand also of very high conversion like those of LeadPages? Please help me clear the issue, I urgently need this guide. Thanks.

  22. Hi Tom, thank you for the video,

I have set up my Landing page, I am still not clear as to how I can send the free e-book to the people who have given me their e-mail. I have set up the list and the autoresponder as well. Please can you help me.

    thanks

    1. Hi Rishi,

In answer to your question: Once your subscribers enter their details on the landing page, the thank you page will pop up. In the meantime the subscribers start receiving your emails from your autoresponder which you have set up. The very first email that they get is usually called an “welcome” email in which you will attach your “freebee”. So basically in that very first email you will saying something like… Welcome, thank you for subscribing to…. here’s the download to your free gift as promised.

      1. Ok I just realised in the training video, attaching your free offer in an email isn’t a good strategy. I assumed attaching a link on the email was the only way to get this across to subscribers.

Does anyone else know how else you can send your free offer once someone opts in?

    2. Hi Rishi. Ayesha is correct in that you deliver the freebie content in the email that you create and schedule in your autoresponder. To do this, you upload the file online (to your website/hosting account) and put the link to that file in your email. Having your own hosting account allows you to create, upload, and “host” your own web pages, blogs, content and product files, etc.

  23. Interesting stuff for sure, thank you. However, I’m not real keen on a net loss of $108 per sale as apposed to a $200 net loss per sale as a positive thing as you present it. How do you make money if each of your sales results in a net loss? I’d much prefer to actually make a net gain per sale. I mean isn’t that why we are here in the first place?

    1. Hi Stephen. Yes, making a profit is the goal, but you don’t always make a profit immediately. Tom was giving you an honest scenario and then making a point that by building your list, you have an opportunity to make money in the future from these same people through email marketing.

  24. Thank you for the info. I know I will have a huge success story because I am still waiting for the flow of things to click. You are great at explaining things. Thank you for the help

    1. Hi Alan. Everything that’s new and unfamiliar is always a little intimidating at first, but once you jump in the “water”, you’ll be “swimming” confidently in no time. Hang in there! 🙂

  25. It is not too clear how to generate profits through the TYP. It was mentioned the cost on 50% conversion and then how the cost was reduced when the rate was 70% (still not profitable). Should we expect profits only through the use of the trasition page before we think to scale up our clicks? Would love to go deeper here. Thanks for your explanations!!

    1. Hi Jussi. The TYP page (that redirects automatically) is coded with an affiliate link to a product offer. If the subscriber purchases after being directed to the offer from that page, you get a commission.

  26. Anik mentioned that we will be taught on how to select the best affiliate programs and incorporate them into the offers. Will this be taught in other modules within Phase I ?

      1. Hi Admin, if you’re promoting an affiliate offer, exactly what do you write to the consumer in your 1st email, and subsequent auto generated emails via the auto responder? Do you copy/paste the vendor’s emails and customize it to suit your own? Or do you come up with your own thing?
